How to Stimulate the English-learning MotivationAbstract: Motivation, one of the key factors that affect the rate and success of second language learning, has been widely explored by psychologists and educators both at home and abroad. However, most researchers emphasized the relationship between motivation and classroom factors (i.e. the teacher level and the material level). This article makes a survey of the role of motivation in the listening, speaking, reading and writing in English learning. After data collection and analysis, it gives some suggestions for stimulating students’ motivation of listening, speaking, reading and writing in their English learning. 摘要: 动机被认为是影响第二语言习得的关键，它受到了国内外许多心理学家和教育工作者的关注。然而，遗憾的是许多研究者都把研究重点放在动机与课堂因素的关系上，比如说动机与教师，教材的关系。本文采取问卷调查的方法调查了动机在学生学习英语过程中的作用，根据以上调查结果，从教师的教学角度出发，并从听说读写四个方面提出激发学习动机的建议。
